Mirza Abbas, political adviser to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and a member of the BNP standing committee, has been admitted to Evercare Hospital Dhaka in the capital.
He reportedly lost consciousness suddenly while drinking water during iftar on Wednesday (March 11). When his condition did not improve, he was taken to the hospital later that night for treatment.
His wife, Afroza Abbas, who is also the president of the Nationalist Women’s Party, confirmed the matter to the media and requested prayers from the people of the country for his quick recovery.
