The Dhaka University administration has imposed a complete ban on loudspeakers, mics, and car horns in the Student-Teacher Center (TSC) area after 6 pm, according to an urgent notification from the proctor's office on December 7. The ban aims to preserve the students' learning environment, prohibiting events using sound systems in the TSC, Independence Square, halls, and residential areas after 6 pm. This decision follows protests by students who had played loud music near the Vice-Chancellor's residence to raise awareness about the noise pollution affecting 4,000 students.
