Actress and director Meher Afroz Shaon was arrested on Thursday night (February 6) in Dhanmondi, as confirmed by the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
DMP's Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallik told Dhaka Post, "Shaon was arrested in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on charges of state conspiracy. She is being taken to the DB office for questioning in custody."
He also stated that she will be presented in court tomorrow, with a remand request to be filed in a specific case.
