Seven-year-old Samina Noor Taj has made Bangladesh proud by securing first place in the Asia round of the Hippo International English Olympiad. The second-grade student from Gazipur has earned international recognition, bringing joy to her school, family, and local community.
On Tuesday, Afzauddin Memorial School and College organized a special reception to celebrate her achievement. The event was attended by teachers, students, parents, and well-wishers.
School authorities said Samina is the daughter of Sanowar Hossain, whose family is originally from Mesta village in Jamalpur. She joined the school's pre-primary nursery section on June 1, 2023, and has since consistently excelled in both academic and cultural competitions.
