Valentine's Day, February 14, has been proposed as the date for the 2024-25 MBBS medical admission test in Bangladesh, as per an official from the Health Ministry. A final decision is expected following a meeting scheduled for early November. Initially planned for mid-January, the exam was postponed to February to allow smoother processing of student applications, distribution of hall tickets, and alignment with other university entrance exams. Additionally, potential reforms to the medical admission policy may introduce changes to the scoring system. The proposed format includes a 120-mark test, with 100 marks for the MCQ section and 20 marks based on GPA. Given the high number of students achieving a GPA of 5 this year, the weight of GPA scores in the admission process may be adjusted.
