Man D*ies from Brutal Beating and Forced to Eat Lime and Sand Over Cow Theft Allegation

In Sylhet's Gowainghat upazila, a young man was reportedly tortured throughout the day and forced to drink a mixture of water, lime, and sand over accusations of cow theft. Local sources say the torture left the man critically ill, leading to his death, while another teenager who was also tortured is receiving hospital treatment. The incident took place on Tuesday in Radhanagar village, and a 4-minute and 7-second video of the torture has gone viral on Facebook. The footage shows the two victims with their hands tied, surrounded by a crowd. One person pins the young man, Helal, to the ground while another beats the soles of his feet, followed by someone sitting on his neck and others striking his body with a stick. The video also shows the injured teenager being forced to beat Helal with a stick and a red cow in the background, with the crowd discussing the alleged theft.
