Red baseball caps mocking Donald Trump's famous MAGA hats have become a symbol of Danish and Greenlandic resistance to the U.S. president’s plan to claim the Arctic territory.
The caps, emblazoned with “Make America Go Away” as a parody of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, have grown popular on social media and at public demonstrations, including a recent weekend protest in freezing Copenhagen.
“I want to show my support for Greenland and also express my opposition to the U.S. president,” said 76-year-old Copenhagen resident Lars Hermansen, who wore one of the red caps at the protest.
