A teacher at Israel Halozia Madrasa in Noia Union allegedly handed poison tablets to a student after scolding him for failing to complete his studies. According to the teacher’s own statement and accounts from other students, he reportedly told the boy that if he could not even complete basic studies, he should take the poison. He then instructed another student to bring the tablets and placed 4–5 of them into the student’s hand.
The student later went to the balcony and told his classmates he would consume the poison, before throwing the tablets upward, some of which reportedly fell onto his cheek. After returning home, the boy became severely ill, suffering from continuous vomiting and frequent trips to the bathroom, according to his mother. She questioned why the teacher gave her son poison instead of using other forms of discipline. The madrasa authorities have since removed the teacher from his position.
