BNP leader and former state minister for home affairs, Lutfuzzaman Babar, has been held in Dhaka Central Jail for 17 years and is suffering from multiple health issues, including severe respiratory problems, kidney complications, and back pain. Due to his critical condition, a medical board of four doctors from BSMMU, led by Dr. Shamim Ahmed, will visit him on Saturday for evaluation and treatment. The medical team, organized after recommendations from the prison doctor and civil surgeon, includes Dr. Syed Fazlul Islam, Dr. Md.
