The High Court has acquitted former state minister for home affairs Lutfozzaman Babar and five other individuals in the 10-truck arms haul case. A bench led by Justice Mostafa Zaman Islam delivered the verdict on Wednesday. Previously, Babar and the five others had been sentenced to death in the case. The other acquitted individuals include former DGFI director Maj Gen (retd) Rezzakul Haider Chowdhury, former CUFL managing director Mohsin Talukder, former CUFL general manager (admin) Enamul Hoque, former additional secretary Nurul Amin, and Jamaat leader Motiur Rahman Nizami.
