A lawyer for the Supreme Court today served the Interim Government with a court notice requiring it to take decisive action to rein in abnormal commodity prices and guarantee the Army's active involvement in preventing spikes in such prices. The warning was sent on Monday, October 14, by Lawyer Nadeem Mahmud. The following people received this notice: the director general of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), the director general of the Agriculture Marketing Division, the director general of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP), the adviser for commerce, the adviser for agriculture, the secretary for commerce, and the secretary for agriculture.
