Kendrick Lamar has become the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history, surpassing Jay-Z’s record of 25 wins.
At the 68th Grammy Awards on Sunday, Lamar won five awards, including Best Rap Album for Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers and Best Rap Performance for “The Heart Part 5.” He also won Best Rap Song for “N95.”
During his acceptance speech, Lamar admitted, “I’m not good at talking about myself, but I express it through my music,” adding, “It’s an honor to be here.” He also acknowledged fellow nominees, describing them as “brothers and sisters,” and highlighted the lasting influence of hip-hop culture.
