During the quota reform movement on July 18, Sub-Inspector Anup Biswas was hit in the head with a brick in Rampura, leaving him hospitalized for nearly two weeks. However, on August 5, a month and a half after the political shift, he discovered he had been accused in an attempted murder case filed on October 17, regarding a protest-related injury in Khilgaon on July 19 — a time when he was still hospitalized. A colleague later informed him that he would need to pay a Tk 1 lakh bribe to avoid being implicated in the case. Confident in his innocence, Anup refused to pay. Following this, he claimed he was threatened with being named in multiple murder cases.
