Mofiz Uddin (56), a Juba Dal leader, tragically passed away while participating in a protest against the Awami League’s program on Nur Hossain Day. The incident occurred on Sunday, November 10, during a protest march in the Elliotganj area of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. Uddin, the joint convener of the Elliotganj South Union Youth Party, collapsed while chanting slogans. Despite being rushed to Elliotganj Apollo Hospital, he was declared dead. Local doctors confirmed his death was caused by a heart attack. Anwar, the chairman of Elliotganj South Union, and Junayet Chowdhury, OC of Daudkandi Model Police Station, both confirmed the incident. BNP leader Dr. Mofiz Uddin Khandkar Maruf Hossain expressed his condolences to the grieving family.
