Initially, the NCP had reached an understanding with Jamaat for around thirty seats. However, the final allocation is now expected to drop to fewer than ten, potentially leaving several prominent NCP leaders out and sparking unrest within the party.
Despite this, neither Jamaat nor the NCP is willing to comment officially due to electoral strategy. Jamaat aims to retain candidates with strong public support in the final list.
NCP Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar said discussions on the final seat-sharing are still ongoing. In some constituencies, Jamaat candidates have informally stepped aside for NCP candidates, and coordination is already underway in those areas. He added that once these informal agreements are finalized in the coming days, all alliance partners are expected to campaign together under a single banner, resolving any confusion or questions.
