One of the last operational hospitals in northern Gaza, Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, is reportedly under siege, according to Gaza's Health Ministry. Israeli forces allegedly entered the hospital, removing patients, health workers, and their families, while surrounding the facility with military vehicles. The Health Ministry reported that critical areas of the hospital, such as operating rooms, emergency units, and laboratories, have been severely damaged by fire, which is now spreading to nearby buildings. Ambulances have been sent to transfer patients to the Indonesian Hospital as the situation worsens. Communication with Kamal Adwan Hospital has been cut, and the ministry warned of life-threatening risks for many patients due to the dire conditions. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the hospital was targeted based on intelligence about "terrorist infrastructure and operatives" inside. The IDF also claimed it ensured the evacuation of civilians, patients, and medical staff before the operation and is working to provide ongoing care for patients at other hospitals.
