Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed concerns over the rising incidents of crimes such as murder and robbery, attributing this increase to the fact that the country is not being governed in accordance with Islamic principles. He stressed that, for this reason, “Islamic rule is urgently needed in the country.” His remarks were made during an Iftar gathering hosted by the party in Kafrul, Dhaka, on Tuesday (March 11).
Dr. Rahman further pointed out that despite having experienced various forms of governance, the country has yet to achieve peace. He emphasized that to eliminate social inequality and establish justice, it is essential to implement the rule of Allah. Additionally, he highlighted that Jamaat-e-Islami is actively working to combat corruption and misrule, urging people to unite and support the creation of a humane and Quran-based Bangladesh.
