Islamic Assembly Participants Clean Up Dhaka University Campus

A large number of outsiders have entered the Dhaka University (DU) campus due to the Islamic Grand Conference at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital, causing noticeable effects across the university, including in the halls and canteens. As a result, piles of garbage have appeared in different areas of the campus. This has led to widespread criticism on social media. However, shortly after the event, guests and representatives from the Islamic Grand Conference launched a cleanliness drive on campus. They began cleaning up in the afternoon, following the gathering on Tuesday, November 5. Those involved in the cleanup explained that due to the large turnout at the conference, managing everything had been difficult at first. Nevertheless, they took the initiative to remove plastic, paper, bottles, and other trash left scattered around Dhaka University as a result of the event.
