ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna arrested

The Detective Branch (DB) of the Bangladesh Police has arrested Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a leader of ISKCON, near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today. He was preparing to travel to Chattogram at the time of his arrest. Chinmoy Krishna Das, along with 19 others, was charged under the sedition law on October 30 for allegedly disrespecting the national flag. Two other suspects, Rajesh Chowdhury and Hridoy Das, were previously arrested in connection with the case, filed at Kotwali Police Station, Chattogram. Chinmoy Krishna Das has been serving as the principal of Pundarik Dham and the spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaran Mancha.
