On Saturday night, Iran launched a large barrage of dozens of ballistic missiles targeting Israel, marking their first such attack since the early morning hours. Among the missiles fired, one struck the Arab city of Tamra, located east of Haifa, resulting in the tragic death of four people.
The missile barrage forced much of the country to seek shelter, with the Home Front Command issuing phone alerts shortly after 11 p.m. Although sirens sounded mainly in northern regions and around Haifa, air defense systems were actively deployed to intercept the incoming missiles.
One missile hit a two-story house in Tamra, killing four women and injuring approximately ten others. The victims were identified as Manar Khatib and her two daughters, Hala, aged 20, and Shada, aged 13. Another relative, also named Manar Khatib, who was married to the brother of the family’s father, was among those killed. This devastating strike deeply impacted the family and the community.
