Bangladesh’s second submarine cable, SEA-ME-WE-5, located in Kuakata, will undergo maintenance from 10pm on April 9 to 6am on April 13, lasting 3 days and 8 hours. During this time, Singapore-bound connections will be suspended, which may lead to slower internet speeds or partial outages across the country.
However, the first submarine cable, SEA-ME-WE-4, based in Cox’s Bazar, will remain operational. State-owned BSCL has apologised for the temporary inconvenience.
