According to a report by India Today on Saturday (July 26), a shocking incident has come to light in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The man was arrested by police, which led to the revelation of his criminal activities.
As per police statements, the man gave up a well-paying job to turn to robbery in order to meet his wife's increasing demands for a luxurious lifestyle.
The incident came under investigation after a woman was robbed in broad daylight in Jaipur’s Transport Nagar area—her gold chain snatched in public. CCTV footage helped police identify the suspect, leading to a manhunt.
On Friday, police arrested the accused, identified as Parik, a resident of Jamwaramgarh village in Rajasthan.
During interrogation, Parik confessed that he resorted to crime because his wife constantly pressured him to provide a more lavish lifestyle. He left his job as an executive at a private company and took to robbery to satisfy her demands.
Initial investigations suggest the wife was putting him under financial pressure for a more luxurious life. Police are also probing whether the wife was aware of his criminal activities and if he has any accomplices or is linked to other crimes.
