Indian media has voiced frustration over Bangladesh's change in its tradition of sending mangoes to Indian political figures. They noted that under Sheikh Hasina, it was customary to gift mangoes to Indian prime ministers, opposition leaders, and even regional leaders like chief ministers.
However, they claim that Yunus has abandoned this practice and is now sending mangoes to Beijing instead. According to the media, he wasn’t asked to do this and lacks the authority to make such decisions. They further criticized him for delaying promised reforms, suggesting he's more preoccupied with criticizing Indian media than addressing his own country's issues.
