In Hyderabad, a man allegedly shot his girlfriend's father on Sunday after the father sent his daughter to the U.S. to end their relationship. The incident occurred in Venkateswara Colony within the Saroornagar police jurisdiction of Rachakonda Commissionerate. The victim, 57-year-old Revanth Anand, was struck in the eye by a bullet when Balwinder Singh, 25, reportedly fired an airgun after an argument. Police stated that Balwinder had been friends with Anand’s 23-year-old daughter for several years. Disapproving of their relationship, Anand instructed his daughter to avoid Balwinder and eventually sent her abroad. Balwinder, angered by this, went to Anand's residence and confronted him, leading to a heated argument. In a moment of rage, he fired a shot from his airgun, injuring Anand. Anand was critically injured and taken to the hospital by police after they arrived on the scene. Balwinder, who initially fled, was later apprehended by the authorities. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
