The Behala Balananda Brahmachari Hospital and Research Centre, a Kolkata-based medical facility, has announced a 10% discount on medical services for Bangladeshi patients traveling legally to India for treatment. The announcement was made at a press conference on Wednesday by hospital superintendent Dr. Sushanta Sengupta and trust secretary Deepak Sarkar. Addressing recent discussions about boycotting Bangladeshi patients, the officials remarked, "Why should patients in need of medical care be denied treatment? From both a humanitarian and professional standpoint, it is our duty as doctors to help every patient in need."
