In Bengaluru, the Sadashivanagar police arrested K. Sagar Gurung, 37, and his wife, Urmila Kumari, 38, originally from Sikkim, for growing marijuana in flower pots on their balcony at their MSR Nagar residence. The couple, who operate a fast-food joint on the ground floor of their building, had interspersed the ganja plants with other decorative plants. The incident came to light after Urmila posted videos and photos of her plants on Facebook, where followers noticed the marijuana and alerted the police. Although a relative warned Urmila before the police arrived, allowing her to discard the plants, officers found traces of the ganja, including some leaves left in the pots. The police seized around 54 grams of ganja and confiscated the couple's mobile phones.
