The Investigation Commission has uncovered evidence suggesting India's involvement in enforced disappearances in Bangladesh. In its report, which includes intelligence findings on prisoner exchange activities between the two nations and the potential fate of the detainees, the commission remarked, "India's role in enforced disappearances in Bangladesh has become a widely discussed public concern." The five-member commission, headed by former Justice Mainul Islam Chowdhury, recently submitted the report titled "Truth Unveiled" to Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the state guesthouse Jamuna in Dhaka. The report highlights indications from law enforcement agencies that some detainees may still be held in Indian prisons. The commission urged the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs to make every possible effort to locate Bangladeshi citizens who might remain in detention in India. However, it clarified that investigating matters beyond Bangladesh's borders is outside its jurisdiction.
