On Wednesday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, apparently in a lighthearted manner, apologized to US President Donald Trump during their meeting at the White House, saying he did not have an aircraft to offer as a gift to the American leader.
While seated in the Oval Office, Ramaphosa remarked, "I'm sorry I don't have a plane to give you," as Trump hosted him for a bilateral discussion followed by lunch.
Responding with a smile, Trump replied, "I wish you did. I'd take it," adding, "If your country offered the United States Air Force a plane, I would gladly accept it."
