Lieutenant Colonel Golam Kibria, Commander of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 59th Battalion, has declared his confidence in handling the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on his own.
Speaking at a community meeting held on Thursday (January 23) at Bakhorali Government Primary School in Shibganj Upazila, Chapainawabganj, he said, "I alone am enough to deal with the BSF. When the time comes, you will be called upon. Until then, no one should approach the zero line of the border without permission. We have weapons, training, and the support of 180 million people. There’s no need to fear the BSF."
The meeting, organized by the 59th BGB Battalion, aimed to raise awareness on preventing border smuggling and ensuring public safety. Golam Kibria also urged the local community to cooperate with the BGB in safeguarding the borders, preventing smuggling, and maintaining the security of citizens.
