Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, the Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka South, addressed the Kishoreganj District Jamaat workers' conference with strong remarks. He stated, “It is deeply unfortunate and alarming when we hear Bangladeshi politicians openly declare that they will inundate the people of this country with substances associated with washroom use. Such language is not only disgraceful—it is a clear warning sign of the emergence of a new kind of fascism in our politics.
He further emphasized, “If you fail to acknowledge the need for reformation, and if you turn away from your responsibility to support this process of reform, then in reality, you are showing disrespect to the Holy Qur’an. And if you view us as your enemies simply for calling for reform, then let it be known that you are, in essence, positioning yourselves as adversaries of the Qur’an itself.”
