Sarjis Alam, General Secretary of the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation, accused Prime Minister Hasina and her supporters of using all tactics to prevent their success, warning that failure would result in severe consequences under Hasina’s regime. He recalled the mistreatment of martyr families before August 5, including denial of proper burials, forced evictions, and harassment, and claimed that if Hasina’s allies return to power, these actions would be repeated. Alam made these remarks at an event on Saturday morning at Mymensingh's Tarek Smriti Auditorium, where financial aid was given to the families of 55 victims from the July uprising. The program began with the national anthem and a moment of silence for the martyrs. Alam vowed to support the families of martyrs and injured individuals, promising that no one would suffer under his leadership. He emphasized the importance of holding the responsible officials accountable, stating that their current power is directly linked to the uprising.
