Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hussain, the Adviser to the Ministry of Shipping, announced that any launch charging extra fare during Eid will have its route permit revoked. Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday, March 6, he emphasized that each launch will have a commander and three Ansar members for passenger safety. He stressed that no launch is allowed to break its scheduled sequence, and if irregularities occur, the launch's license may be revoked. He also stated that fare charts must be displayed, and any extra fare will result in the revocation of the launch's route permit. Sakhawat Hussain assured that he would personally oversee the matter, including visiting Sadarghat.
