Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the central Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, asserted that if the party comes to power, mothers and sisters will play a vital role in societal development with dignity, leveraging their skills and experiences in line with Islamic values. He emphasized, "We will not confine any of them to their homes." Dr. Rahman made these comments as the chief guest at a workers' conference held by the Jamaat-e-Islami district branch at the Uzir Ali School and College grounds in Jhenaidah town on Thursday afternoon (October 17). He further remarked, "Those who once boasted that this country belonged to their ancestors and vowed they would never flee—did they fulfill their promises to the nation? Did they honor their commitments to their workers? They failed to keep their word to anyone because they did not fear Allah. Out of fear for their wrongdoings, they lacked the courage to remain steadfast in this country. We demand justice for them; they must be brought back and made to face accountability, no matter where they are."
