13-year-old Kalpana endured years of brutal abuse before escaping with the help of a veterinarian and the police. Hired at just nine under false promises, she faced relentless physical torture from her employer, Dinat Jahan Ador, and her family. Isolated and deprived of basic needs, she was beaten, burned, and starved, while her parents remained unaware due to strict surveillance. Gathering the courage to seek help, she was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where she is being treated for severe injuries, including missing teeth and untreated wounds.
