There have been posts circulating on various Facebook pages and groups claiming that Tamim Mridha has completely quit the media and become devoted to Islam. However, on Saturday afternoon, Tamim Mridha told Channel i Online that he has not left the media. In a conversation with this reporter, Tamim clarified, “I have never said that I will stop acting or leave mainstream media. The people posting these updates haven’t spoken to me. They are sharing false information. This happened before my marriage too, when people posted whatever they wanted. You were the first to ask me if I’m really leaving the media.” Meanwhile, on Friday, Tamim’s older brother, Sakib M Talha, posted on Facebook, “My brother, Tamim Mridha, has stopped working in mainstream media. I hope you will support him. May Allah guide us all.” Tamim responded, “He is my brother, and he posted this out of emotion. But before spreading such news, no one bothered to ask me. I have started a podcast called ‘The Message Podcast,’ where we discuss basic concepts of Islam and address misconceptions, particularly among the youth.” He continued, “I’ve been working on this podcast for the past seven to eight months. Nowhere have I stated that I left the media to embrace Islam. This podcast is a positive initiative. And if a good script comes along in the future, I have no issue acting. The idea of me leaving the media is like asking if I will stop eating rice—am I going to stop eating rice now?” Tamim explained that after the Covid period, he has reduced his acting work as the scripts didn’t appeal to him, focusing more on his job and business. “If the right opportunity comes, I will work in the future. I will also create content, endorse brands, and do everything.” He added, “On my social platforms, I will continue to share content that aligns with the principles of the Qur’an and Sunnah.”
