Cristiano Ronaldo has confidently declared himself the greatest footballer in history, leaving no room for modesty. As he nears the remarkable milestone of 1,000 career goals and prepares to celebrate his 40th birthday this Thursday (6), the Portuguese star made these bold statements during an interview on the Spanish program La Sexta.
"Honestly, I’ve never seen anyone better than me. I believe I am the most complete player to ever exist. I excel in all aspects of football—I’m strong, fast, good in the air, proficient at free-kicks, and can shoot well with both feet. Everyone has their own preferences—some may favor Messi, Pelé, or Maradona, and I respect that. But claiming that Cristiano isn’t a complete player is simply false. I am the most complete," he asserted.
"I am the greatest in history, period. The numbers prove it. I’m not fixated on reaching 1,000 goals, but if I do, great. I don’t think long-term; I focus on the present," Ronaldo added.
