A dismembered human leg, severed above the ankle and bandaged, was discovered in a dustbin on Razia Sultana Road in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Local residents spotted the leg late Monday night (November 5) and alerted the police. Ali Iftekhar Hasan, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur police station, confirmed the incident around 12:30 PM. He stated, “It is believed that the amputated leg originated from a hospital. The bandaging on the foot and the nature of the cut suggest it was a medical amputation. There was no blood; it was completely dry. We are investigating how it came to be here.” In the meantime, there has been a recent uptick in terrorist activities, including robberies and murders, in the Mohammadpur area, causing panic among local residents. Joint forces are conducting ongoing operations to restore order.
