Law enforcement successfully rescued hostages from a robbery at the Jinjira branch of Rupali Bank in Keraniganj on Thursday. The operation, conducted by various agencies, including the police, began after robbers entered the bank around 2pm, taking staff hostage and demanding ransom. By 5:30pm, officials escorted the hostages to safety, detaining three suspects during the operation. Dhaka District Police Superintendent Ahmad Muyeed confirmed the incident. The bank building had been cordoned off earlier in the day to ensure a secure rescue operation.
