The High Court has granted a six-month bail to Sohel Rana, owner of Rana Plaza, in the murder case concerning the deaths of over a thousand people in the building collapse. The bail was granted on Tuesday, October 1, by a High Court bench comprising Justice Md. Ataur Rahman Khan and Justice KM Hafizul Alam. Advocate Sazzatul Haider Chowdhury represented Sohel Rana, while Deputy Attorney General Md. Masud Rana appeared for the state. Following the court's decision, the Deputy Attorney General announced plans to appeal against the bail order.
