Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah, coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, announced via social media on Tuesday (October 15) a plan to surround the High Court in protest today (October 16). Thousands of students joined them in the protest, where they put forward three key demands: (1) the removal of judges who chanted slogans in support of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in front of the High Court the previous day, (2) the expulsion of Awami League affiliates from the High Court, Supreme Court, and district courts, and (3) the banning of Chhatra League.
