The personal Facebook profile of Hasnat Abdullah, chief organiser for the southern region of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has been disabled. He confirmed the matter himself on Tuesday (January 6) while going live from his verified Facebook page.
In his video message, Hasnat Abdullah said his personal profile, named “Hasnat Abdullah,” was disabled several days ago. He believes the account was taken down through copyright complaints due to his anti-India stance expressed on social media. As a result, he said he was unable to communicate with his followers and supporters over the past few days.
He added that, as his personal profile remains inactive, he will now stay regularly active through his verified Facebook page, which had previously been managed mainly by administrators.
Calling on supporters to help keep communication active, Hasnat Abdullah urged them to share his page so that his statements and news can reach a wider audience.
