The bank accounts of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Saima Wazed Putul, her daughter, and Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby, her nephew (son of Sheikh Rehana), have been frozen. This information was disclosed by the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), the financial intelligence agency of Bangladesh Bank, on Monday (September 30). A senior BFIU official confirmed the development, stating that directives have been sent to all banks and financial institutions across the country. In a letter, BFIU announced that the personal and company-owned bank accounts of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Saima Wazed Putul, and Radwan Mujib Siddiq will remain frozen for the next 30 days. No transactions are permitted during this period, and the freeze may be extended if necessary.
