Starting April 18, a total of 108 Hajj flights will operate from various airports across Bangladesh to transport pilgrims for the holy journey. This year, airfares have been significantly reduced to just BDT 12,990, much lower than last year.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines and other carriers have confirmed that all preparations for carrying Hajj passengers from Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet to Saudi Arabia have been completed. Around 78,500 pilgrims are expected to travel on these flights.
Mohammad Safiuzzaman Bhuiyan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, stated that all flights will be operated according to government and Saudi guidelines to ensure the safe and smooth transport of pilgrims. The Hajj flights will run from April 18 to May 21, with return flights scheduled from May 30 to June 30. The reduced airfare has made Hajj travel more affordable, generating excitement and joy among pilgrims.
