The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education in Bangladesh has taken new steps to stop Rag Day celebrations in schools and colleges to prevent disorder and inappropriate behavior linked to the event. Regional education officials have been asked to report on actions taken to control Rag Day-related issues, stop eve teasing, and encourage students to focus on their studies at night.
Authorities have also been instructed to collect reports from institutions under them and submit a summary to the monitoring wing by March 30. This decision comes after earlier efforts to stop bullying, obscenity, and other misconduct associated with Rag Day.
