The government is considering extending the public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha to five days each and Durga Puja to two days. Currently, the holidays are three days for each Eid and one day for Durga Puja. Sources from the Chief Adviser's Office and the public administration ministry have indicated that a proposal on this matter may be presented at today's advisory council meeting. Officials revealed that the ministry has submitted the proposal for extending the holidays to the Cabinet Division. If approved by the advisory council, an official announcement will follow.
