Mohammad Faruk Hossain, an Assistant Professor of Social Welfare at Bhawal Mirzapur Degree College in Gazipur Sadar Upazila, has successfully reached the Mount Everest base camp. The achievement was confirmed by the college's Acting Principal, Abul Hossain. Faruk left Bangladesh for Kathmandu, Nepal, on November 6. He began his Everest expedition on November 7 and, after a 10-day journey, reached the base camp at an altitude of 17,598 feet on November 17. At 11 AM Bangladesh time, he raised the Bangladesh flag at the base camp. Continuing his adventure, he proceeded to Ama Dablam base camp on November 19. "It has always been my dream to stand at the base of Mount Everest, the tallest peak in the world. Today, that dream has come true," Faruk expressed.
