Former BSL member of RU now the president of student union, claims he used his BSL position to get a seat in the hall

Rajshahi University’s Student Union elected Masud Kibria from the Drama Department and Paroma Mostafa from the Painting, Oriental Art, and Printmaking Department as president and general secretary, respectively, as announced in a press release on October 26. Controversy arose regarding Kibria's past as a member of the banned Chhatra League, with allegations of ragging a first-year student in 2021. Kibria claimed he attended a BCL event for a short time but distanced himself from the organization later. The new committee consists of 15 members, with Shakila Khatun as the outgoing president overseeing the council meeting.
