Fatema Sorna, an alumna of BRAC University, has been accepted into the prestigious University of Oxford to pursue a Master’s degree in Radiobiology. In November 2023, she was honored with the Mary Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). She began her Master’s program at Oxford in October 2024. The fellowship, designed to promote gender equality in nuclear education and science, provides recipients with opportunities to study at top institutions and gain hands-on experience through IAEA-supported internships. Sorna expressed heartfelt gratitude to BRAC University for its strong academic foundation and support, which she credits for her success. As part of the fellowship, Sorna participated in International Women’s Day celebrations held in Vienna, Austria, in March 2024. The one-year Radiobiology program at Oxford is tailored for professionals in radiation oncology and research.
