Fire in Secretariat's Building 7 controlled after six hours

A fire broke out early this morning in Building 7 of the Secretariat in Dhaka's Segunbagicha area and was brought under control after over six hours. Firefighters responded within minutes of the alert at 1:52 am, with 19 units deployed, though only 10 could operate due to access challenges. The fire spread from the fifth to the eighth floor, and members of the army, police, and APBN assisted in the efforts. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but firefighters faced delays due to locked rooms and sealed windows, requiring them to break in to control the blaze.
