The original FIFA World Cup trophy has arrived in Bangladesh, reaching the country around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. After completing formalities, the trophy will be moved to Hotel Radisson, where a viewing session for selected spectators is scheduled to begin after 2 p.m.
Former Brazilian midfielder Gilberto Silva, a member of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup-winning team, is accompanying the trophy in Bangladesh.
This marks the sixth edition of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, a joint initiative with FIFA, which began on January 3. The global tour was officially launched with a grand ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Coca-Cola campaign winners wishing to view the trophy must present a valid ticket, either printed, digital, or as a screenshot.
